Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

The Office of DEI and Belonging (ODEIB) exists to create an inclusive campus commUNITY where everyone feels welcomed and valued.

We welcome students to individual and group experiences that help them form bonds of understanding and leadership.  We strive to support students in their explorations of self-discovery, personal growth, assertiveness, awareness, advocacy, empowerment, social justice, and inclusivity. We provide a network of services and programs that foster discussions related to the creation of a multi-ethnic, culturally conscious university.

All members of the campus community and neighboring communities are welcome to participate in these programs. DEIB will always challenge students to continually learn about themselves, their cultures, other cultures, and the impact that one’s culture has on everyday life. By achieving the above, we seek to develop students who graduate as globally-minded citizens.

We have an open-door policy; we welcome all campus commUNITY members and guests with questions, concerns, suggestions, as well as those seeking friendly conversation!

Our Mission
The office engages Cabrini's BIPOC*, First-Generation, and LGBTQIA+** student body through intentional, identity-focused retention and success programs.

  • *BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color)
  • First-Generation (Those students who are first in their families to attend a college/university)
  • **LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and/or Allies)

This office provides training, programs, and other special events that strengthen our inclusive campus community.

Through these initiatives, we serve as a place for support and affirmation of the diversity in our entire student body.
