Using the Kindle App for EBooks and E-Texts
Use Kindle to enhance your e-reading experience. Download the FREE Kindle App to your iOS, Android, Mac, or PC by going to https://www.amazon.com/kindle-dbs/fd/kcp.
The Kindle App will enable you to download any EBooks or E-texts that you have purchased onto your computer, smartphone, or tablet. You can also import PDFs to this App to use the Kindle features.
What Features Are Available through the Kindle App?
You can highlight the text, add notes, export these highlights and notes, create flashcards, and bookmark pages. These notes and highlights are all conveniently kept next to the text of the book or article as you read.
The Kindle App also supports text-to-speech features on most devices and the Kindle for PC supports screen reader technology provided by NVDA 2017.1 or higher and JAWS on Windows Computers. Check out the Kindle Audio & Accessibility Features to learn more about how to access the text-to-speech and screen reader features, including Keyboard Shortcuts for PC or Mac users.
