Joseph Cimakasky, PhD

Assistant Professor of Philosophy

Joseph Cimakasky, PhD, specializes in ancient philosophy and ethics and his areas of interest include self-knowledge, friendship, and happiness.

Before coming to Cabrini, he taught various philosophy courses at Duquesne University in both the Philosophy Department and the School of Nursing.

Prior to teaching, Cimakasky served four years of active, honorable service in the U.S. Marine Corps, and 14 years as a professional nurse.

Cimakasky earned his Doctor and Master of Arts in Philosophy from Duquesne University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The University of Scranton.
