David Rosenberg comes to Cabrini University after spending more than 30 years in the investment industry where he worked in several areas of the financial markets. Over his career, David has worked on a US Treasury trading desk, managed large institutional portfolios, provided consulting services to foundations, endowments and pension plans and run an investment organization for a major private bank. He brings a varied set of real time experiences to our students that are rare to see in the classroom environment.
His classroom philosophy is by combining financial theory with the real-time events of the market place, students can begin to develop a sense of operating within the business world even before they step into their first professional job after graduation.
His personal philanthropic passion is mission-related investing, a style of investing in which one pursues investments that are attempting to improve the world through their business operations. This can include ideas such as improving labor relations, reducing global pollution, fighting for minority rights, etc. This is a growing area in the field of investments.
David received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his MBA with Distinction from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has published works on the impact of private equity and real estate investments on portfolio risk and return.
