ESH Senior Internship

All students majoring in Exercise Science & Health Promotion must participate in a senior internship experience, ESH 388 (5 credits / 170 hours) or ESH 488 (6 credits / 200 hours) or both in one semester (fall, spring, or summer).

Students use the concepts, techniques, and theories learned in the classroom at a real‑world setting.

Interns work at hospitals, fitness centers, continuing-care communities, university sports-conditioning departments, and physical-therapy centers such as Novacare and Rothman.

Internship experiences improve organizational, time-management, and communication skills while highlighting the various roles and responsibilities of professionals in the field.

Students with questions about this program can contact Gifty Akomea Key, EdD, at gifty.akomea.key@cabrini.edu.

All ESH majors are invited to attend the ESH Senior Internship Presentation held at the end of every semester where seniors present details about their internship experience.
