Cabrini College is proud to announce the establishment of the Regn Family and Friends Men’s Lacrosse Endowment Fund.
Established by alumnus David Regn ’97, this fund is the first of its kind for Athletics, and will provide an annual source of support for the Men’s Lacrosse program to help meet its essential needs, while ensuring the sustainability and long-term growth of the program.
Many larger colleges and universities have endowment funds to support their athletic teams. Endowed funds remain in perpetuity with the College, and make a strong statement about the belief in the future of the program.
A formal announcement of the Fund’s creation was held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, after the Cavaliers’ victory over Nazareth College.
At that event, several alumni and parents also made pledges of support to the fund, to add to the generous gift already made by Regn.
“The establishment of the Regn Family endowment is another milestone for our program,” head men’s lacrosse coach Steve Colfer commented.
“It ensures that future generations of Cavalier lacrosse players will be able to have a tremendous student athlete experience at Cabrini. Dave and Kellie Regn have shared their vision for the future of Cabrini lacrosse and it is a bright one.”
