Mapping Drives on Windows XP
Cabrini College provides the capability for students in the residence halls to connect to their H: drives. Follow the instructions below to learn how to map a connection to your personal H: drive.
  1. On your desktop, right click over top My Computer and click on the Map Network Drive option. Your my computer icon may be in your Start Menu.

  2. In the Map Network Drive window that opens, leave the Drive letter set to whatever your computer selects. In the Folder box type \\proton\students$\username. Replace the word "username" with your Cabrini User ID. You have the option to reconnect at Logon. Click Finished when done.

  3. Another screen will open asking you to enter your Cabrini User ID and domain password. Enter that information and click OK. Make sure to type Cabrinint\username in the User Name box. Replace "username" with your personal Cabrini User ID.

  4. If you have entered your information correctly you will see a screen open with your H: drive contents. If you accidentally close the screen you can re-open it again by going to My Computer. It will be listed as one of your drives.
