Students whose financial and other obligations to the College are met are eligible to preregister for classes during the previous semester (i.e. in November for spring classes). Course schedules will be posted online, and hard copies are available at the Registrar's Office, Grace Hall, Room 117. Registrar information and important links are available at www.cabrini.edu/Registrar.
During the first semester, first-year students are limited to 18 credits per semester. After that, students with a 3.0 GPA or higher and permission of their advisor are eligible to enroll for additional credits.
Students should schedule an appointment with their academic advisor to review course selections and fill out a "Registration Roster." Once their courses are approved, they may register online through CabriniOne (during the preregistration period only) or in person at the Registrar's Office (any time prior to the start of classes).
To get a copy of their current course roster, students log into CabriniOne at one.cabrini.edu. Click on the "Students" tab on the top menu bar, then "Student Records," and then "Student Detail Schedule."
Add/Drop Courses can be added or dropped until the end of the Add/Drop period, which is typically during the second week of the semester. Courses that do not start on the first day of the regular semester can be added anytime before the first day of class. Students must obtain an "Add/Drop Form" from the Registrar's Office, fill it out, obtain the signature of their academic advisor, then return it to the Registrar.
Withdraw "Drops" and "Withdraws" are different in that a dropped course does not appear on transcripts, does not count toward GPA, and does not count toward full-time status for the purposes of financial aid or residency. Withdraws appear on transcript as a "W," count towards full-time status, and do not count toward GPA.
Students can withdraw from a course after the Add/Drop date but before the withdrawal deadline. Students must complete a "Withdrawal Form" (available in the Registrar's Office), obtain the signature of their academic advisor, then return it to the Registrar. Alternately, students may apply for a "W" by submitting an online request. The withdrawal deadline can be found on the Academic Calendar or by calling the Registrar's Office at 610-902‑8545.
Students needing to leave the College for extended periods of time may be eligible for withdrawal from all courses. Please contact your academic advisor or the Office of Academic Affairs for more information.
