The Writing Center, located in Room 110 of the Iadarola Center, helps students use writing as a tool for learning, reflection, and career preparation. The Center offers free tutoring by appointment and on a drop-in basis. Professional and peer tutors are available and eager to help. We are writers helping writers.
We can assist with every phase of the writing process, including:

- Shaping Discovery: brainstorming ideas, gaining inspiration, and prewriting strategies
- Building Structure: argument construction, transitions between ideas, conclusions
- Using Evidence: research, source integration and documentation
- Editing for Style and Clarity: word usage, grammar, and proofreading
- Other Specialized Types of Writing as Needed: resumés, cover letters, graduate school applications
