The Writing Center, located in Room 110 of the Iadarola Center, helps students use writing as a tool for learning, reflection, and career preparation. The Center offers free tutoring by appointment. Professional and peer tutors are available and eager to help. We are writers helping writers.
We can assist with every phase of the writing process, including:

- Shaping Discovery: brainstorming ideas, gaining inspiration, and prewriting strategies
- Building Structure: argument construction, transitions between ideas, conclusions
- Using Evidence: research, source integration and documentation
- Editing for Style and Clarity: word usage, grammar, and proofreading
- Other Specialized Types of Writing as Needed: resumés, cover letters, graduate school applications
