All are welcome to attend Cabrini's annual History Club Forum. This year, the History Club Forum will feature five regional speakers focusing on the life and presidency of Abraham Lincoln. The History Club chose to focus on Lincoln to celebrate his 200th birthday.
8:30-9 a.m.: Registration and Continental Breakfast
12:15-1:15 p.m.: Lunch in the Mansion Dining Room
Roger Arthur, Historian, Lecturer, and Teacher, will present "The Laughing Lincoln: The Wit and Wisdom of our Sixteenth President."
Judith Ann Giesberg, Ph.D., Associate Professor of History at Villanova University, will present
"Lincoln and the Widow Bixby: Reconsidering the Women's Civil War."
James R. Hedtke, Ph.D., Professor of History at Cabrini College, will present
"Republican Presidents at War: Lincoln and Bush."
James G. Mundy, Jr., Director of Library and Historical Collections at The Union League of Philadelphia, will present
"Lincoln, Philadelphia, and the Union League."
Anthony Waskie, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Language and History at
Temple University, will present
"The Grand Army of the Republic: Creating Memory and Legacy."
