Our Cabrini Connections

The Cabrini Sisters Connection -- Education of the Heart (Educar o coração) in Sao Paulo, Rio, and elsewhere in Brazil
  • Cabrini sisters first came to Sao Paulo, Brazil in March 1903. Mother Cabrini herself came to Rio de Janeiro in 1908 and founded Regina Coeli Colegio in the Tijuca section.

  • Further history of the Cabrini sisters' work in Brazil can be found in the Google translation of the MSC Homepage for Brazil.

Our Cabrini Friends in Brazil
So many people took time out of their busy lives to host and educate us so we may tell others of the great work being done in Brazil: Sonnia, Arnaldo, and Cinthya; Sonnia's brothers and families; Matteus and Fabiana; our friends at the World Cup party; our friends at the Madre Cabrini community, and many other warm hosts.
Sister Terezinha Lumbieri, MSC
Most of all, we are indebted to Sister Terezinha who first invited us to Brazil at the 125th anniversary of the MSCs in 2005 at Cabrini College. This woman of great vision, warmth, and energy, shepherded us from the moment we landed until we departed. We at Cabrini College thank you deeply!
