Activating Your Computer Accounts

As a member of the Cabrini College community you will automatically be assigned computer accounts. Your username and password for your accounts are used to access college services, such as the Holy Spirit Library databases, online course registration and network storage space.

To activate your accounts go to the Computer Accounts Management Service (CAMS) webpage. Should you need assistance with activating your accounts, step-by-step instructions are provided below:

Step 1: Identify Yourself

To begin you account activation you will need:

  1. Your Cabrini Student ID Number
  2. Your Date of Birth
  3. The zip code for your home address.

Enter the information above in each of the corresponding fields in the Cabrini Accounts Management System:

Your Cabrini Student ID Number is a nine-digit, unique number that you can find on your Student ID number on the Enrollment Letter you received from Cabrini College. If you have not received an Enrollment Letter or still have difficulty finding your Student ID Number you can use your Social Security Number to activate your computer account.

Step 2: The Account Wizard

Once you have successfully identified your to the Cabrini Accounts Management System you will see a welcome page.

To continue, click the "Read the Acceptable Use Policy" button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Agree to the AUP

Click the "Yes" Button to Agree

The Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) details all the terms and conditions of using your Cabrini College computer accounts.

To activate, and use your Cabrini College accounts, you must agree to the terms contained in the AUP. You indicate your agreement to these terms when you click the "Yes" button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4: Pick a Password

The system will automatically generate a password for you. However you do not have to accept this password. You can create your own password.

The easiest way to create a password that the system will accept is to use the Password Wizard, located on this page. 

The wizard will ask you for a phrase or words that are easy for you to remember and will generate a password using letters and numbers from the phrase or words you enter. If you choose to create your own password without the assistance of the Password Wizard, then remember the following password rules:

  1. It must be between 6-8 characters (6,7, or 8 characters in length)
  2. It must contain at least one non-alphabetical character (a number or symbol)
  3. The number or symbol cannot be the last character in the password

You have now successfully activated your account! 

You can get started in CabriniVision now. Remember to take the time to set up your Internet Browser using the Browser Check tool on the CabriniVision log in page.

Once you have activated you accounts, you can still use CAMS to manage your account.

If at any time you want to change your password or work with your account, you can log back into the CAMS system and work with your accounts from the account screen.
