The facilities at the Dixon Center are available at no extra cost to all full-time Cabrini students, faculty, and staff, as well as to employees' family members.
Access All users must present a valid Cabrini College Student ID or a Dixon Center ID to use the facilities.
Liability Participation in activities in the Dixon Center is on a voluntary basis. Cabrini College shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that individuals may incur while using any equipment or facilities in the Dixon Center. Participants waive any and all claims against Cabrini College, its trustees, officers, agents, and employees for any such injuries, damages, or other such losses.
Holds/Transfers Memberships may not be placed on hold for any reason and are non-transferable.
Membership Cancellations Written requests made for an early membership termination will be reviewed by the Director of the Dixon Center on a case-by-case basis.
Closures The scheduling of intercollegiate competitions, practices, intramurals, and other special events will limit access to certain areas of the Dixon Center at specified times.
The Dixon Center follows the Cabrini College campus schedule, and hours of operation will be limited throughout the year.
Lockers Lockers for one-day use only are provided free of charge to members and guests. Cabrini is not responsible for items stored in lockers or locker rooms.
Contents must be removed before the end of the business day, and you must provide your own lock. Any locks left on a locker overnight will be cut off, and any items remaining in the locker will be cleared.
Items not claimed after 30 days will be disposed of or donated to charity.
Towel Service Towel service is not provided. Members must bring their own towels.
Lost and Found The Dixon Center assumes no responsibility for personal items lost or stolen. Store and secure personal items in day lockers.
Theft should be reported immediately to the staff at the front desk who will file an incident report with Public Safety.
Items found should be turned in to the front desk. Lost items can be claimed during normal hours of operation.
Personal Fitness Training and Private Lessons Personal training, private lessons, and activity instruction are not permitted in the facility without prior coordination with Dixon Center administrators or the Campus Scheduling Coordinator.
This includes, but is not limited to, private lessons, personal training, and or any other fee-based or gratis programs deemed to be instructional in nature at the discretion of Dixon Center management.
Injuries In the case of an injury, please notify the Dixon Center staff. If the injury is serious, the staff member will immediately call Public Safety to get an ambulance to the facility. For minor injuries, the staff may provide basic first aid.
Guest Policy Members of the Dixon Center are permitted to bring guests. The guest fee is $5 per visit.
All guests must check-in at the front desk and complete a Waiver of Liability Agreement.
Members must accompany their guest while in the Dixon Center, and the guest must leave the facility the same time as the member. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Age Restrictions Anyone age 17 or younger may only be a member as part of a family membership.
Basketball Rims Hanging on the rims is prohibited.
Footwear All participants must wear appropriate athletic footwear. No black-soled shoes are allowed in the gymnasium, aerobics/dance studio, or squash courts.
Food and Drink Food and drink are restricted to the common corridors.
Alcohol Alcohol is not allowed in the facility in either an open or closed container. Possession of alcohol will result in the individual(s) being asked to leave the building. Public Safety and the Radnor Township police will be notified if the person(s) refuse to remove themselves and the alcohol.
Tobacco Tobacco products of any kind are prohibited in the Dixon Center.
Animals Animals are not allowed in the building, with the exception of those assisting individuals with disabilities.
Bicycles, roller blades, and skate boards are prohibited inside the Dixon Center.
Fighting The Dixon Center has zero tolerance for violence or intimidation of any sort. Any physical abuse of any person or conduct which threatens or endangers the health and safety of any member of the Dixon Center will result in immediate removal and disciplinary actions.
ID Cards Replacement ID cards cost $15. Card holders are responsible for their membership cards, even when the membership expires.
The Dixon Center assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or misplaced cards. Upon renewal, the same ID card will be reactivated.
Cards should not be stored near computers, electronic devices, or other cards with a magnetic strip. Do not punch holes in the card, as this will deactivate it, and a new one must be purchased.
Equipment Check-Out Various sports equipment is available for check-out at the Front Desk. A valid Dixon Center Membership ID is required. Members are responsible for all equipment checked-out and will be required to replace or pay a fee for any lost, stolen, or misplaced equipment.
Dixon Center Pool Policies Any questions can be directed to Dixon Center staff.
No glass permitted in pool area.
Please leave all bags in locker rooms. Only mesh equipment bags are allowed in the pool area.
No running. No boisterous or rough play.
No food, drink, water bottles, or gum.
No tobacco products, drug use, alcoholic beverages, or spitting.
No roller skates or roller blades.
Spitting, water spouting, and nose blowing in the pool, gutters, and deck areas are strictly prohibited.
All swimmers must wear proper swimwear at all times.
Circle swim procedures will be implemented at the discretion of the lifeguard.
Throwing objects in the pool is not allowed during lap and circle swim times.
Patrons shall not engage in any activity that would endanger or put at risk the patron or any other patrons.
Patrons having an obvious communicable disease, skin eruption, cut, sore or lesion, or eye, ear, nose, or throat infection are prohibited from using any public swimming pool.
All members must enter and exit the pool from the locker rooms only.
Youths age 8 years and younger must be accompanied and directly supervised by parent/guardian.
Members may bring their towels and leave them on the pool area. All other items are to be placed in the lockers in the locker rooms.
No diving in the shallow water.
The starting blocks are to be used for swim-team practices and meets only.
