Certain spaces in each residence hall are reserved for medically necessary special accommodations.
The Housing Application includes a section for students to request special accommodations because of a medical need.
Disclosure of a disability is voluntary.
Upperclass students do not need to request air conditioning, as all upperclass buildings are air-conditioned.
Verification of NeedIf a student requests a medical-need accommodation, Residence Life staff will verify documentation to support the request.
Accommodations must be considered medically necessary by a medical professional qualified to make the assessment.
Residence Life generally does not require students who have been granted a medical accommodation in the past to re‑submit documentation, unless there has been a change in the type of accommodation requested.
If documentation is needed or there are any issues, Residence Life will contact the student to make arrangements.
When medical need for accommodation is verified, Residence Life will contact the student requesting special accommodation—via official @cabrini.edu email account—and make arrangements to select a space that meets the accommodation.
