As the semester winds down and our lives become a little less hectic, we are often left with some free time.
While most of us already have our “free” days planned out, the rest of us might need some help deciding what to do. Below are some fun and healthy ways to beat the holiday blues.
-
Head up to the mountains and enjoy a nice day on the slopes or snow tubing.
-
Take a day trip to a place you’ve always wanted to visit, but never had time.
-
Treat yourself to a relaxing day watching movies and sipping on hot cocoa.
-
Get together with some old friends that you don’t get to see very often.
-
Continue on with the Christmas spirit and visit one of the many Christmas light attractions in the area.
-
Offer up your time to those less fortunate and volunteer at a local food bank or shelter.
-
Gather around the dinner table and build your own gingerbread house with your family and friends.
-
Bring a little bit of fitness into your day by heading out and ice skating.
-
Let it snow; go out and build a snowman or engage in a friendly snowball fight.
-
Dust off the oldies, but goodies, and play some fun and competitive board games.
