Cabrini's Counseling and Psychological Services office is available for walk-in emergencies daily, Monday through Friday, between noon and 1 p.m during the school year.
Crises generally involve a situation where someone's safety is at risk—a potential life or death situation.
If you believe your safety or the safety of someone else is in danger, treat it as a crisis and seek help immediately. If you are not sure of how to handle a situation, contact the Counseling and Psychological Services Office.
Suicidal or homicidal gestures or attempts are crisis situations. Persistent thoughts about death or specific ideas on ways to hurt one's self or others should be treated as a crisis situation. If someone is suddenly acting very different from usual and doesn't seem to be making any sense, this could be an emergency, and help should be sought immediately.
If you have been physically attacked (sexually assaulted, mugged, etc.), seek help immediately.
For mental health crises or emergencies during the school year, call the Office at 610-902-8561 or stop by Founder's Hall, Room 95.
After hours (after 4 p.m. on weekdays), on the weekend, or during breaks or in the summer, please contact Public Safety at 610-902-8245 OR a 24-hour crisis hotline.
- DO NOT try to contact us through email or this website in an after-hours emergency.
