Transfer Orientation will give you an opportunity to meet faculty, staff, and students, and also learn about the academic requirements and campus resources available to assist you.
Staff and students will be on hand to assist with finding rooms and answering questions.

9:50 - 10:10 a.m.: Language Placement Overview (Iadarola Center)Learn about Language course requirements and placement. Cindy Halpern, Ph.D., Assistant Professor for Romance Languages
10:10 - 10:30 a.m.: Understanding Your Transfer-Credit Evaluation (Iadarola Center)
10:30 - 10:50 a.m.: Math Placement Overview (Iadarola Center)Learn about Math course requirements and placement. John Brown, Ph.D., Chair of the Mathematics Department
11 a.m.: Math Placement Test (Iadarola Center, Room 325 F)Testing available for students who have not already taken it.
11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Lunch (Iadarola Center, Room 101 E) Free lunch is provided for all attendees.
11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Resource Fair (Iadarola Center Lobby)Learn about important campus resources available for students. Representatives from the following offices will be on hand to distribute information and answer questions.
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.: Course SchedulingTransfer students will meet with a faculty member to schedule courses for spring 2014. Students will receive meeting times and locations during registration.
12:30 - 1:30 p.m.: Group Academic AdvisingTransfer students will meet as a group for academic advising and questions pertaining to course scheduling.
Additional Information for Incoming Students
All campus offices will be open for regular business hours.
The Cavalier Express Center will be open for regular business hours to answer any questions students may have with regard to their bill, financial aid, etc.
Visit Public Safety to have IDs made or the Bookstore to purchase books and other supplies.
The Mail Room will be open for new resident students who have questions about their mailbox and new address.
Representatives from the Admissions Office will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions.
Resident students may pick up keys and move into their rooms after meeting with their advisor and scheduling their courses.
