Start your college experience with the Base Camp Program and enjoy camping, canoeing, and rock‑climbing. Incoming students get an early look at Cabrini, meet fellow students before Move‑In Day, and learn about life at Cabrini during a fun-filled trip with Cabrini Recreation. On the first day, the group will drive to a local climbing area and learn the fundamentals of rock‑climbing in a safe, controlled setting with professional guides. That night, travel to a nearby campground to set up camp, enjoy campfire conversation and entertainment, and sleep under the stars. The second day, you’ll canoe a scenic stretch of the Delaware Water Gap, then stop for the night at a riverside campground. On the final day, hop back into the canoes and finish the trip. The day will end when we return to Cabrini's campus that evening. No previous outdoor or camping experience is necessary. In fact, many of our participants may have never been camping before. We’ll teach you the skills you’ll need to be comfortable outdoors, while getting to know your future classmates. |
