New Student Orientation is a program designed to help new students and their families transition to life at Cabrini, meet faculty and staff, make new friends, and learn about academic requirements and helpful campus resources. The first day of Orientation is Thursday, August 23. This is also the day first-year resident students move in (8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.). Commuter students check in for Orientation in Jazzman’s Café (11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.). New students will meet their Orientation Group and Orientation Leader at 1:30 p.m., while family members attend informational workshops geared for them. Family and friends are invited to attend the day’s events with new students, leading up to the Matriculation Liturgy (3:30 p.m.), which formally welcomes our new students to Cabrini College, followed by a campus picnic on the Commons (5 p.m.). This is a great time for students to begin saying good-bye to family and friends as they start their Cabrini experience. Orientation is intended to help you meet new people and adjust to life at Cabrini College, so we do require student participation in all Orientation events.
If you have any questions about Orientation, please feel free to call the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership (also the Orientation Planning Office) at 610-902-8755. Don’t Forget Cabrini Night at the Phillies On Friday, September 7, 2012, every new student will get a ticket to the game and transportation to Citizens Bank Park at no cost. Family, friends, alumni, faculty, staff, and returning students also will attend. |
