Unity Week is a campus-wide effort that affirms the diversity represented within the Cabrini community.
The project is a collaborative effort by student leaders, clubs, faculty, and College departments to coordinate a diverse series of programs.
The schedule includes fun events, music, performances, workshops, speakers, and opportunities for dialogue and community building.
Unity Week—managed by the Office of Student Diversity Initiatives—celebrates the vitality that our diversity affords us, through individual and collective experience.
April 8–14, 2015, Cabrini College will host its second annual Unity Week.

Kick off Unity Week with a march to celebrate the entire Cabrini community coming together. All are welcome to participate.

Challenge conceptualizations of gender and explore the intersections of gender and sexuailty as it pertains to the theory of the “genderbred person.”

The Black Student Union will show a TEDTalk by Carvens Lissaint titled “Put the Financial Aid in the Bag.”
This is a controversial spoken-word poem that express the stress often felt by students of color and first-generation students while navigating the financial-aid process to attain their college degrees.

Everyone of any faith is invited to a call for prayer. We will ask the audience to participate by announcing a person, cause, issue, etc., that they would like to pray for. We will then pray together as a community.

Watch “Dear White People,” a satire that focuses on a group of black students’ experiences attending a predominantly white university.
After the movie, a 30-minute panel discussion will be held.

This program is a continuation of our discussion of pop culture that has been coined “ratchet.”
