The Office of Student Diversity Initiatives assists with all ALANA (African-American, Latino, Asian, & Native American), LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender), and International clubs and organizations on Cabrini's campus.
These clubs and organizations provide opportunities for students to showcase their cultural diversity through various heritage and social events, affinity and support groups, and educational activities.
The following clubs and student organizations are advised by the Office of Student Diversity Initiatives:
-
Black Student Union provides a venue to appreciate Black and African heritage through peer groups, social and cultural activities, and events.
-
La Raza provides a venue to appreciate Hispanic cultures through peer groups, social and cultural activities, and events.
-
Sanctuary, Cabrini's Gay/Straight Alliance, offers affinity groups, peer support, and educational activities to promote a greater understanding of the LGBT community.
-
International Club provides an opportunity for Cabrini's international students to meet, discuss common interests and celebrate the array of cultures represented on campus. This club also assists in coordinating campus-wide international themed events.
All student organizations must register through the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership in order to be recognized by the College.
To start a group or club in these areas, contact the Office of Student Diversity Initiatives at 610-902-1061 or StudentDiversity@cabrini.edu.
