RADNOR, Pa. (Jan. 6, 2012) — Yesterday, the Cabrini College women's soccer team received a Team Ethics Silver Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The award is given to teams that exhibit fair play and sporting behavior, and follow the Rules of the Game.
The honor is based on the number of yellow cards teams receive from officials through the course of the season. The award consists of three levels, gold (no yellow cards), silver (less than five yellow cards) and bronze (less than 10 yellow cards).
The Cavaliers are one of 43 Division III teams to receive the Silver Award. Ten teams received gold awards, while 16 received the bronze level honor.
