RADNOR, Pa. (Feb. 13, 2012) — Following a national search, Cabrini College has appointed Dr. Steven Feld vice president for finance and administration/treasurer, effective March 1.
Feld currently is executive vice president of Administrative Affairs and chief financial officer at Newberry College in South Carolina. There, he has developed financial and operating components of the strategic planning process, including the Quality Enhancement Program—Habits of the Heart—and he instituted a new budgeting system linked to the strategic plan.
“Steve’s understanding of Cabrini College’s mission and his desire to be a part of our vision for the future are evident,” said Dr. Marie Angelella George, president of Cabrini College.
“Steve also brings a great deal of international expertise and an entrepreneurial acumen that will serve Cabrini College well.”
Feld served on the Higher Education Management faculty at the Graduate School of Education of the University of Pennsylvania, and served as the Executive Director of Global Programs at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
In a prior role as Executive Director of Executive Education, Feld managed the executive programs of the Robert H. Smith School of Business, and worked with faculty committees to design, develop and implement the Smith Executive MBA in China (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai), Tunisia (Tunis), Switzerland (Zurich) and the United States (College Park, Md.).
Feld earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of New Mexico, a master of business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a doctorate of education in higher education management from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania.
