RADNOR, Pa. (July 14, 2011) — Nineteen students at Cabrini College will share nearly $40,000 in scholarship funding from the W.W. Smith Charitable Trust in the 2011-12 academic year.
This is the 32nd consecutive year that the W.W. Smith Trust has supported students at Cabrini College. Since 1983, the Trust has committed $1,198,500 to more than 400 Cabrini students.
W.W. Smith funding is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need, possess a cumulative 2.5 GPA, and reside in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, as well as from Camden, N.J.
The W. W. Smith Charitable Trust is a private foundation established by William Wikoff Smith. The trust is specifically focused on areas involving basic needs for food, clothing and shelter; supplementing higher education scholarship programs; and basic medical research primarily in heart disease, cancer and AIDS.
