RADNOR, Pa. (April 7, 2011) — Cabrini College student Danielle Alio, a junior communications major from North Wales, Pa., has been awarded a $5,000 “Philly’s Future” scholarship by the Philly Ad Club.
Alio is one of 10 area students to receive the scholarship for outstanding academic, personal, and professional accomplishments.
At Cabrini, Alio has earned Dean’s List honors each semester on campus, and is heavily involved in extracurricular activities. She is managing editor of the Loquitur, Cabrini’s award-winning student newspaper; executive producer of LOQation, a webcast that brings the Loquitur’s stories to the screen; the host of two shows on the College’s radio station; and she performs in Cabrini Theater productions.
Several Cabrini students have received Philly’s Future scholarships in recent years, including Arielle Friscia ’11 last year. The Ad Club is the largest professional advertising organization in Philadelphia, and a member of the American Advertising Federation.
