Cabrini students and faculty at the Special Olympics of PA
Twenty-five Cabrini College honors students recently served as the Games Organizing Committee for the Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) Winter Sectional at Jack Frost Mountain.
Led by Assistant Professor of Biology Dr. David Dunbar and Assistant Professor of Psychology Dr. Melissa Terlecki, the students assisted SOPA staff in running competition in alpine and cross-country skiing for more than 100 athletes, acting as timers, gatekeepers, starters and finishers.
The students also participated in the Opening and Closing ceremonies, and helped organize the Victory Dance to honor the athletes.
