Linking Campus with Community: Domestic Violence Education Partnerships in Action

Cabrini hosted this event designed for students, teachers, psychologists, therapists, social workers, law-enforcement officers, government officials, policy makers, counselors, clergy members, faith groups and related professionals dedicated to identifying and addressing domestic and dating violence.
- Lynn Rosenthal, White House Advisor on Violence Against Women, was the distinguished speaker.
Additional speakers included:

18-year-old Amber Rose Johnson, poet and member of the National Advisory Committee on Violence Against Women.

Bill Mitchell, who founded the Kristin Mitchell Foundation after his daughter was murdered in 2005 by her boyfriend.
At the symposium, Cabrini students showcased their research on domestic violence, and representatives from Laurel House a Norristown advocacy center led panel discussions and breakout sessions.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) were offered.
