Commencement Kick‑Off is a "one-stop shopping" experience, where prospective graduates can: - obtain all Commencement-related materials, such as announcements, academic attire, parking passes, and tickets to Senior Week events
- meet with the Business Office to settle outstanding financial obligations
- ensure that any Financial Aid exit counseling session required for the Stafford Loan program has been completed
- confirm academic clearance with the Registrar's Office
- submit required senior surveys to Cooperative Education and Career Services
No appointment is necessary. Come to one of the kick-off sessions listed below to take care of everything for Commencement. You only have to come one session. Students will also receive the following Commencement material. Printed Announcements: Each graduate will receive five (5) printed Commencement announcements at no cost. Additional announcements may be purchased at a nominal cost. Commencement Parking Passes: Parking will be limited the day of Commencement. Parking passes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis during Commencement Kick-Off. Prospective graduates who registered their car with the Office of Public Safety during the academic year will receive a maximum of two parking passes. Requests for handicapped passes should be directed to the Public Safety staff members at Kick-Off. Students requiring a handicapped pass will be issued one in lieu of one traditional guest pass. Videotaping and Photography: Commencement will be professionally videotaped and photographed. Graduates will be mailed information on how to order copies of the videotape and orders for photographs can be placed at Commencement Kick-Off. Diploma Frames: The Bookstore has a variety of special frames, in a range of prices, that graduates can purchase for displaying their diplomas. Frames that are in stock will be available for purchase at Commencement Kick-Off on a first-come, first-served basis. Orders for frames can also be placed at that time. Those wishing to see the frames prior to Kick-Off can do so by visiting the Bookstore on the lower level of the Widener Center. Honors Medals: Students graduating with Latin honors (cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude) will be notified by the Registrar's Office in early April. Medals for Latin honors, to be worn at graduation, will be distributed at Commencement Kick-Off. |
