Margins should be one-inch on all four sides, so the useable space is 34" x 28" (portrait) or 28" x 34" (landscape).
The paper quality is special conference-poster stock.
Many variations and tools are available in PowerPoint.
If you would like to design something specific but are unsure how to do so, meet with the coordinators.
The Cabrini College logo should be inserted into the upper left corner of the poster, and the Symposium logo in the upper right corner.

Save the files and use the Insert command in Power Point to set it into your poster.
Resize pictures from the corner anchors to keep proper proportions (don't stretch or squish).
All posters should have the following information centered at the top of the poster:
All posters should acknowledge the faculty sponsor and course.
Creating a File in Four Easy Steps
You now have one large PowerPoint slide to design and format as your poster.
This should give you a workable space of approximately 34 x 28 inches.
We recommend that you use either a three-column or five-column design. This seems most pleasing to the eye.
A two- or four-column design can be done, if you believe that will present your story more effectively.
Use the “Rectangle” command to draw a rectangle:
If you want to create a border, select (background) Color, and change the rectangle Fill to the color white with 100% transparency.
Information to Include:
The delivery of a poster presentation is different from that of an academic paper, because the delivery is longer and more unstructured.
Rather than giving an oral presentation to a collective audience, poster presenters frequently engage individuals in mini-presentations.
Poster presenters should remain next to their posters throughout the session and should be ready to address any questions that observers may have.
However, they should not always look to engage observers in conversation.
The poster should speak for itself; the presenter is simply there to answer questions and provide clarification.
Depending on the size of the crowd, presenters may find times when multiple observers are viewing their poster and times where no one is.
Make sure not to neglect any of the poster observers.
