JSTOR

JSTOR is a multidisciplinary database that aims to make the archives of scholarly work from all disciplines accessible. It is a good place to start your research; your search results will most likely contain materials from sources you wouldn't have thought to search on your own. Using the advanced search option to limit your results is especially important in JSTOR as it is a multilingual database. You can also limit your search by subject or journal title.

ProQuest Social Science Journals

ProQuest Social Science Journals cover hundreds of titles that fall into the social sciences, many of them in full text. The topics covered include addiction services, urban studies, international relations, demography and more. ProQuest Social Science Journals can be searched with any other ProQuest database.

ProQuest Women's Interest Module

The periodicals in ProQuest Women’s Interest Module cover such subjects as feminism, women’s history and more. Broader topics, such as political science, are covered as they relate to women’s issues. ProQuest Women’s Interest Module can be searched with any other ProQuest database.

Sage Journals Online

This multidisciplinary database is a good place to start your research. Sage Journals Online provides citations and abstracts for articles across all disciplines, many with the full text available. Use the advanced search option to limit what journal titles are searched or browse articles by discipline or topic for more narrowed search results.

SocINDEX with Full Text

SocIndex with Full Text provides full text access to hundreds of journals, books and conference papers. Citations and abstracts are provided for many more, and these can be requested in full text through interlibrary loan. Primarily a sociology database, SocIndex also covers the leading journals in related fields such as criminology and criminal justice, demography, religion, social work, socio-cultural anthropology, political sociology, social psychology and the list goes on. This database can be searched in conjunction with other databases such as Academic Search Premier, Social Work Abstracts, ERIC, or PsycARTICLES by clicking "Choose Databases."

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center provides full-text coverage of current social issues. The main goal is to provide a balance of opinions on these issues through original pro and con articles, articles from academic journals, popular magazines, newspapers, podcasts, statistics and more. Browse popular topics or search by keyword. When searching use the advances search to limit your results to peer-reviewed publications or to the intermediate or advanced content level. Opposing Viewpoints is also a series that we carry in print; add "opposing viewpoints" in the series box in your Cavalog searches to find relevant materials in print.

ProQuest Research Library

ProQuest Research Library provides citations and/or full-text access to 3,000+ scholarly journals and magazines in a wide range of subject areas. In addition to general interest publications, the database covers the Arts, Business, Children, Education, Health, Humanities, Law, Military, International and Multicultural interests, Psychology, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Women's Interests.
