Admission Requirements
-
Completion of a graduate application and payment of the $50 non-refundable application fee.
-
An undergraduate degree (bachelor's) from a regularly accredited college or university, in any major, with an overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better. Official (institution-sealed envelope) transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate college history.
Note: Students who do not meet the GPA requirement or who have been out of college for an extended period of time may be considered for provisional acceptance and take nine (9) graduate credits. Such students may also be required to complete the pre-professional PRAXIS Series in reading, writing, and mathematics skills as a further condition for acceptance.
If their Cabrini GPA for the nine graduate credits, which count toward their program, is 3.0 or better, they then request to change to full graduate status. Information about the PRAXIS Series may be obtained from ETS at 609-771-7395 or online or from the Bureau of Teacher Certification and Preparation at 717-772-2864 or online.
-
One letter of recommendation from a professor or employer who is familiar with the work of the student. The letter may be mailed, emailed (graduate@cabrini.edu) or faxed (610-902-8522) by the student or recommender. For Principal/Administrative I certification, an additional letter of recommendation is required which specifically speaks to the candidate's 'leadership' abilities and potential.
-
Submit a one-page statement about professional and personal goals by mail, e-mail (graduate@cabrini.edu), fax (610-902-8522) or delivery.
