Arranging a corporate matching gift is an easy way to increase the impact of a gift to the College.
Matching gifts are company-donated contributions that match those made by employees, sometimes doubling or tripling the contribution.
Each company has its own guidelines. Most matches are initiated the donor submitting a form to Cabrini or calling the company.
To find out if your company has a matching gift program and to learn the specifics of requesting a match from your company, please visit www.matchinggifts.com/cabrini or contact your Human Resources department.
They might also provide the required form to send when making a gift to Cabrini. The College will verify the gift and return the form to your company, which will then issue a matching gift contribution to Cabrini.
Employers might have to determine whether a matching gift is restricted or not. In some cases, the matching gift must be directed the same as the donor’s gift, and in other cases employers require that a matching gift be left unrestricted.
Cabrini College must follow the company’s wishes, including whether or not a donor may restrict a matching gift.
