In July, Rachel McCarter joined Cabrini College as the Director of Alumni Relations. She brings to Cabrini more than six years of marketing, development, and alumni relations experience.
Most recently, Rachel was the Director of Alumni Relations at Rosemont College (2008-2011). While there, she worked closely with a 20-member Alumni Board of Directors to strengthen alumni programming and communications.
Rachel managed Rosemont’s three-day alumni reunion, helped Institutional Advancement increase alumni involvement and support for the college’s capital campaign, and served on several mission-related task forces to integrate the college’s mission into every aspect of college life.
Prior to her tenure at Rosemont, Rachel worked in marketing and development communications at The Franklin Institute.
Cabrini’s commitment to community service and education of the heart drew Rachel to the College. She demonstrates her personal commitment to community involvement through her annual participation in the Sandy Rollman Foundation’s Spirit Sprint to raise money for Ovarian Cancer research, a cause personal to her family. Rachel also supports other non-profit organizations.
Rachel graduated from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and a concentration in Interpersonal Relationship Management and Psychology.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys being with friends and family, including husband, Michael, and seven-month-old daughter, Avery Charlotte. Rachel also enjoys hiking, interior design, writing, and psychology.
Rachel’s office is located on the 2nd floor of the Mansion (610-902-8256 or rachel.mccarter@cabrini.edu).
