Alumni Association Donates to Holiday Food Drive
The Alumni Office, Dining Services, the Wolfington Center and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) partnered to challenge the College community to raise 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food items for November’s Helping Hands Across America Canned Food Drive. The campus exceeded the goal, donating a total 1,553 pounds to Catholic Social Services in Norristown. Campus departments competed against each other to collect the most food. Faculty and staff earned first place, collecting 134 pounds, followed by the Alumni Association (99 pounds), Athletics (79 pounds), Student Groups (63 pounds), and Facilities (25 pounds). An additional 1,153 pounds was raised throughout the campus. The Alumni Office is grateful to the members of the 50th Anniversary & Alumni Weekend Planning Committees and the Governance Committee of the Alumni Board for their generous donations that helped alumni rise to the challenge and benefit this worthwhile cause.
