“Remembering great times with friends, that’s what Alumni Weekend is all about,” said Danielle Alio ’12.
And during the last weekend of May 2015, that is exactly what alumni gathered to do on campus during Alumni Weekend — from a small group of alumni celebrating their 50th reunion to the large crowd of alumni, faculty, and friends who took a trip down memory lane on Residential Blvd. at the Alumni House Crawl.
“It’s difficult to believe 50 years have gone by,” said Joan Bartivic Landermann ’65. “It’s the wonder of Mother Ursula [Infante] that the College has grown to be what it is today,” Landermann said.
Cabrini College has no plans to stop growing. During the Annual Alumni Association Meeting & Awards Luncheon, Cabrini President Donald B. Taylor, Ph.D., discussed the exciting changes ahead, including artistic renderings of the upcoming addition to the Athletic & Recreation Pavilion (an expansion of the Dixon Center) and future plans to introduce various academic programs.
Other Alumni Weekend events included the All-Class Alumni Weekend Mixer at Landmark Americana, The Social Media: Privacy vs. Data Sharing event hosted by the Communication Department, the Mansion Tour, the Blue & White Reunion in the Mansion, and more.
“I think it is special when alumni can to come together and reminisce about their favorite memories at our college,” Alio said. “I will definitely be back to Alumni Weekend again.”
