The AmeriCorps 'Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania' program pairs Cabrini students with an ECG (Engagements with the Common Good) 200 course to serve as liaison to community partners for service projects.
Students enroll as AmeriCorps members on a part-time basis and serve approximately 10 hours per week.
Scholars earn an education award of approximately $1,175 that can be used to pay for any legitimate educational expenses at Cabrini, future educational expenses, or to repay student loans.
The ideal candidate will be a student who has already demonstrated a significant commitment to community service.
Faculty members can request Scholars in Service to act as liaisons to community partners and organize students for service projects.
