The Council also sponsors an annual Conference which rotates meetings across the country. Students spend a semester taking courses and interning in Washington, DC. Guide to Philadelphia and Surrounding Areas The most convenient way into the city and the surrounding areas is to hop on SEPTA. 30th Street station, one of the biggest stops on SEPTA, also links to Amtrak trains, transporting students from Philadelphia and all over the country. www.septa.org The Philadelphia Orchestra, founded in 1900, is one of the leading orchestras in the world, offering acclaimed performances, historic international tours, and stunning recitals.
