Cabrini College is in the early stages of the Gateway Project, which is a central component of the College’s plan to create a pedestrian-friendly, truly “green” campus that enhances our student experience. The Gateway Project is part of a land-development plan submitted to Radnor Township recently for approval. The project, which includes a parking structure at the southern end of campus across Eagle Road from Eastern University will allow us to eliminate a number of surface parking lots. At the Feb. 6 Radnor Township Planning Commission meeting, neighbors, as well as Planning Commissioners, expressed concerns and raised objections over the proposed Gateway parking structure and entrance to the College on Eagle Road. There also was concern over the proposed location of the parking structure. The Commission has asked for enhanced visual design renderings of the proposed structure, as well as additional traffic studies. The Planning Commission tabled the motion for further discussion. The College will continue to post any news or updates. Updates to Neighbors The Gateway Project is in the conceptual stage, and the College is working closely with Radnor Township and PennDOT to review all possibilities and put forth the best possible plan. The College will continue to post any news or updates.
Cabrini hosted information sessions on June 25 and 28, 2011, and January 15, 2012, to provide a forum for neighbors on the Gateway Project.
