Among the chief honors J. Bradley McManus has accumulated over the years are his various WWII military awards and decorations. He also has earned several academic and professional honors, including the National Villanova Loyalty Award in 1990.
He is the former vice president of the Rotary Club of Newtown Square, Pa.; past vice president of the Villanova University Alumni Association; and former president and director of the 364th Fighter Group Association. McManus earned a bachelor of science in economics from Villanova University. He later underwent Army Air Corps Flight training at Kelly Field, Texas.
Since 1945, he has served as CEO of several corporations and partnerships engaged in the development of multiple residential and commercial subdivisions in the metropolitan Philadelphia area. These projects have included the construction of approximately eight suburban shopping centers, several free-standing office buildings, an executive office campus and 750 homes.
In 1977, McManus received the Distinguished Graduate Award from the Philadelphia Archdiocesan School System, and in 1999 he was recognized for his life work and dedication to the mission of Cabrini College.
He enjoys military flying and golf. He and his wife, Lois, have nine children and live in Phoenixville, Pa.
