A native of Boston, Sister Diane Olmstead has been a Missionary Sister of the Sacred Heart of Jesus since 1980. During her years as a Missionary Sister, she has been missioned to New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Guatemala.
Her ministries have included nursing, administration, family casework, vocation ministry, and youth and parish ministry. Sr. Diane currently serves on the Provincial Council of the Stella Maris Province.
Sr. Diane earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master's in psychiatric mental health nursing from Texas Woman's University in Houston.
After her time in Guatemala, she received an advanced certificate of studies in cross-cultural ministry from Maryknoll School of Theology.
Sr. Diane has been a member of the board of trustees for Saint Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., and an advisory board member for Cabrini Mission Corps.
She currently serves on a number of MSC sponsored ministries.
