A certified public accountant, Jara has served in executive roles at First CornerStone Bank since 2000, and was named President and CEO in 2006.
Previously, Jara held executive positions at CNB Investments, which incorporated to form First CornerStone Bank, and with First Commercial Bank of Philadelphia.
Jara is active in the community, serving on the board of directors for several organizations, including the Lansdowne Historic Theater Corporation in Lansdowne, Pa., and the Daemion Counseling Center in Berwyn, Pa.
Jara also is chairman of the finance committee of Saint Philomena Roman Catholic Church in Lansdowne.
He earned a master of business administration degree in finance at Widener University, and a bachelor of science in accounting at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pa.
He also graduated from the American Bankers’ Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Jara’s son, Andrew, is a senior psychology major at Cabrini.
