4 Assistant/Associate Professors of Graduate Education (2 positions are tenure track, 2 positions are one-year renewable contracts) Qualifications: A doctorate in education is required. In addition, candidates must have: 1) documented knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas – foundations of education, reading/literacy, English language learners, special education, educational leadership, teacher leadership, and/or teaching and learning in PK-12 classroom, 2) a minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in PK-12 classrooms; 3) potential for successful scholarship and service to the College; and 4) a commitment to the Mission and Core Values of Cabrini College. Preference will be given to candidates who document successful teaching experience in graduate education; knowledge of program assessment, certification, and accreditation; and/or 3) skill in using technology to support student learning. These positions are for 9 months, with the possibility of summer employment. Appointments will begin August 2012. Responsibilities: Faculty will teach 9 credits of graduate coursework per semester both on campus and at off-site locations, provide service to the College and develop a scholarly agenda as described in the Faculty Handbook (http://www.cabrini.edu/Academics/Faculty/Faculty-Handbook). In addition, faculty will work collaboratively in program development and assessment and serve as mentors for part-time faculty. Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Education Education/Early Elementary: Cabrini College, located in suburban Philadelphia, PA, seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Education, beginning August 2012. The successful candidate will supervise field experiences, advise majors, and teach a range of courses, including Reading and Language Arts, Theories and Activities for Early Elementary, Math Methods and Assessment.
