In January, visitors from Cabrini Ministries in Swaziland shared their country’s culture with the campus.
Alumni couples celebrated their romances at a Sweetheart Dance in February.
Cabrini students, faculty, staff, and alumni gathered together together on February 21 for the annual Founder’s Day program.
This year’s event focused on remembering the early days of Cabrini College and its founding by Mother Ursula Infante.
In March, Cabrini’s men’s basketball team posted the best record in school history at 31-2 and rode a 22-game winning streak all the way to the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship Game.
Cabrini fans celebrated as the men’s basketball team concluded their historic season in March.
Students, parents, alumni, staff, and faculty watched the games together at on-campus viewing parties and some even journeyed to Virginia to cheer on the team in person.
Cabrini students—as well as alumni, faculty, and staff—traveled to Guatemala for a service trip during spring break, March 3–11.
Members of Cabrini’s Green Team planted trees on campus for Earth Week in April.
Both the men’s and women’s Cabrini soccer teams captured championship titles in the Colonial States Athletic Conference this year.
In May, the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association honored Cabrini students for their community-oriented environmental coursework related to the Crabby Creek Restoration Project.
In May, President George proudly awarded degrees to the Cabrini College class of 2012 at Commencement.
Cabrini students met the Phillie Phanatic during Move-In Day in August.
Returning students welcomed the incoming class and their families to Cabrini with a surprise flash-mob dance after the Matriculation Ceremony on August 23.
Alumni, faculty, students, staff, family, and friends came together for the annual Cabrini Night at the Phillies, September 7.
Recipients of the Extraordinary Scholar Award were honored during Cabrini Night at the Phillies on September 7 and on the Phillies “Behind the Pinstripes” TV show.
During the summer, incoming first‑year students all read
Enrique’s Journey
for the Summer Reading program.
On September 13, the Pulitzer‑Prize–winning author, Sonia Nazario, came to campus to meet students and discuss the book’s immigration issues.
Cabrini students participated in service projects all year long.
On September 14, Cardinal Roger Mahony, one of the Church’s leading immigration-reform advocates, visited Cabrini College and addressed students, faculty, and staff about immigration.
Cabrini students welcomed their family members to campus for Family Weekend in September.
During Family Weekend in September, Cabrini’s soccer teams led a clinic for children.
Marcy and J. Eustace Wolfington HON’12 visited campus to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Cabrini’s Wolfington Center.
The Center has been instrumental in offering service learning, civic engagement, community outreach, local and global partnerships, spirituality, and Catholic social teaching.
